042 | Be Badass: Habits for Stress Management and Mental Health

This week, the Be Badass with Me mini challenge continues with the addition of healthy habits for stress management and mental health. 

In this episode, I’ll give a quick update on how my sleep habit is going, go over the steps for choosing and implementing a meaningful habit, share 15 stress management and mental health habit ideas (plus a bonus one!), and wrap up with the stress management habit that I’ll be adding to my Be Badass practice.

The structure of this challenge is to compound habits for long-term practice to help you feel like your best and most badass self. That means that we’ll be continuing with the sleep habit and adding the stress management and mental health habit. We’ll practice these habits for the next couple weeks, and then we’ll add another one.

If at any point you feel like you need more time to practice your habit before adding another one, that’s totally fine! Add new habits at your own pace. (Though, I do recommend giving yourself at least two weeks to practice a habit before adding another one!)

Healthy Habits for Stress Management and Mental Health

  1. Practice breathing exercises. 
  2. Check in with your senses.
  3. Establish and enforce boundaries.
  4. Limit your social media. 
  5. Turn off app alerts.
  6. Organize your life. 
  7. Take a walk.
  8. Similarly, yoga and meditation. 
  9. Create a playlist of songs that lift you up and listen to it regularly. 
  10. Play. Seriously, just play.
  11. Snuggle with a fur baby.
  12. Express yourself—journal, draw, sing, etc. 
  13. Read. 
  14. Socialize with friends and loved ones. 
  15. Pamper yourself.
